How Matter And Energy Are Conserved
Energy that is conserved in an ecosystem is contained within all the organic matter that has the ability to be metabolized by some organism, but energy is always flowing through the system from solar radiation to organic material of plants and then to the heat released back into the atmosphere.
Abiotic- Sunlight, temperature, precipitation, water or humidity, soil or water chemistry.
Biotic factors- Herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, decomposers, and photosynthetic organisms.
